Lower number wins

Senders try the MX with the lowest priority value first and fall back to higher values if it is down.

Who hosts your mail

We match MX hostnames to known providers — Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho Mail, cPanel and more.

MX Lookup — FAQ

What is an MX record?+
An MX (mail exchanger) record tells other mail servers which host accepts email for your domain, and in which order to try them.
Can an MX record point to an IP address?+
No. MX records must point to a hostname that has its own A or AAAA record. Pointing MX at a CNAME or a bare IP breaks delivery on many servers.
Why am I not receiving email after switching hosts?+
Usually the MX still points to the old provider, or the old TTL has not expired. Check the MX here and compare it with your new provider's setup guide.
