chunk loads, not chunk waits
minecraft vps ▸ java & bedrock
A Minecraft server that answers to you and nobody else. Indian NVMe nodes, full root over SSH, and enough headroom to hold 20 TPS while your friends load chunks in every direction.
Not an official Minecraft product. Not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
at a glance ▸ every plan
A Minecraft VPS is a KVM slice of an Indian node — dedicated RAM, dedicated vCPU threads, NVMe storage and root access over SSH. You choose the server software and the version; we keep the machine and the network under it healthy.
chunk loads, not chunk waits
your slice stays your slice
India-routed, ₹0 setup fee
engineers, not chatbots
This is a virtual private server — a KVM slice of an Indian node with its own RAM, vCPU threads and NVMe storage, plus root access over SSH. You install the Minecraft server software on it (or we point you at a one-line installer), and your friends connect to your IP from their own copies of the game. It is not a cloud gaming PC and it does not include a Minecraft licence — everyone still launches the game on their own device, exactly like joining any other server.
plans ▸ pick your ram
RAM is the number that decides how many players and how many mods your world can carry. Everything else — NVMe, 1 Gbps port, root access, DDoS filtering — is standard on every plan.
billed monthly ▸ ₹0 setup fee ▸ Activated within 3 hours of payment
Prices shown per month, exclusive of GST. Longer terms are billed upfront. Unmetered bandwidth is subject to our fair-usage policy.
sizing ▸ how much ram
The honest version: start one size below what you think, and upgrade when the timings report tells you to. Moving up a plan takes a reboot, not a migration.
Vanilla survival or a lightly-modded world with a few friends. Fine for a private SMP that runs on weekends.
Paper with a real plugin stack, or a starter modpack. This is where most public servers land.
Heavy Forge or Fabric packs — RLCraft, All the Mods — or a busy community server with world pregeneration.
A proxy network: lobby, survival, minigames and a database, all on one machine you control.
performance ▸ tick budget
Minecraft runs on a 20-tick-per-second budget. Every millisecond a neighbour steals from the CPU is a millisecond your world spends falling behind. KVM pins your threads so nobody else can take them.
Panel illustrates a typical 8 GB workload. It is not a live feed from a customer node.
why a vps ▸ the difference
There is a point where a laptop under a desk or a shared game panel quietly becomes the reason nothing works. This is what sits on the other side of it.
KVM gives your node its own RAM and vCPU threads. Nobody else's world pregeneration steals your tick budget halfway through a raid.
Region files, chunk saves and modpack startup all hit disk hard. Enterprise NVMe is why a 400-mod pack boots in seconds instead of minutes.
Filtering sits in front of every node. Getting a server IP leaked in chat should be an annoyance, not the end of your community.
SSH in and run whatever you want — Paper, Purpur, Forge, a Velocity proxy, MySQL, a Discord bot, dynmap. No panel deciding what you're allowed to install.
Nodes sit in our Noida datacenter with 1 Gbps ports, so players across India connect over domestic routes instead of going halfway around the world and back.
Outgrow your plan and we resize the node. Your IP, your worlds and your player list all stay exactly where they are.
Take an image before installing that questionable mod. If the world corrupts, roll back instead of explaining to 40 people where their base went.
Our team is in Kolkata and answers around the clock. Ask about port forwarding or a Java flag and you get an answer, not a copy-pasted article link.
software ▸ install anything
Root access means the software list isn't ours to decide. These are simply the ones our customers run most.
Running something exotic? Root access means you can. Upload your own server.jar and go.
modpacks ▸ bring your own
CurseForge, Modrinth and Feed the Beast packs all install the same way — drop the server pack on the node, point your start script at it, set the heap size and go.
infrastructure ▸ under the floor
The same Indian infrastructure our business VPS customers run on, sized and priced for people hosting worlds instead of workloads.
See the datacenterNodes live on Indian soil with domestic routing to major ISPs, which is the single biggest thing you can do about ping for a player base in India.
Not SATA wearing an SSD label. Chunk saves and modpack loads are disk-bound work, and NVMe is where that time disappears.
Enough headroom that a hundred players streaming chunk data never becomes the thing that limits you.
Attack traffic gets scrubbed before it reaches your node, so a grudge from a banned player stays a minor irritation.
Real virtualization with your own kernel. Install a custom JDK, tune GC flags, mount what you like — the node behaves like hardware.
Credentials and IP arrive by email, usually well inside the window, with ₹0 setup fee on every plan.
compare ▸ vps vs game panel
Shared game panels are simpler on day one. A VPS is the one that's still enough on day three hundred.
| feature | The PowerHost Minecraft VPS | Typical shared game panel |
|---|---|---|
| Root / SSH access | Yes | Panel only |
| Server software choice | Any jar you want | Approved list |
| Resource isolation | KVM, dedicated | Shared, oversold |
| Run a proxy network | Yes, on one node | Extra billing |
| Run MySQL, bots, dynmap | Yes | Rarely |
| Storage | NVMe SSD | Often shared SATA |
| DDoS protection | Included | Often paid add-on |
| Location | India (Noida) | Frequently overseas |
| Starting price | ₹674/mo | Cheaper, then capped |
Comparison describes the shared game-panel category in general, not any single named provider.
use cases ▸ what people build
Ten friends, one world, nobody's PC acting as the host at 2am.
Forge and Fabric packs with the heap size and GC flags you choose.
Paper or Purpur with economy, claims, permissions and a live map.
Velocity or BungeeCord fronting several backends on one node.
Public survival with a Discord, whitelist tooling and real moderation.
Bedwars, skyblock, practice arenas — anything that needs steady ticks.
A staging node to test builds before they touch the live world.
GeyserMC so Bedrock friends on phones and consoles can join Java.
how it works ▸ three steps
Choose a plan from the table above and a billing term. ₹0 setup fee, and you can pay by UPI, card or netbanking in INR.
Your node IP and root login arrive by email, within three hours of payment and usually sooner. SSH in and the machine is yours.
Drop in Paper, Forge or your modpack, allocate the heap, open port 25565 and share the address. Ask support if you want a hand with the first boot.
faq ▸ before you buy
Pick a plan, get your credentials, and have friends standing in a fresh spawn before the evening's over.
