Tally Server Sizing Calculator — FAQ

How much RAM does Tally Prime need per user?+
Tally Prime itself is light, but each RDP user also runs a Windows session. Plan roughly 1 GB per concurrent user plus 4 GB for the server.
Can 10 users use Tally on one cloud server?+
Yes. A Windows server with around 4 vCPU and 16 GB RAM on NVMe comfortably handles 10 concurrent Tally-only users — add RAM if they also run Excel or a browser in the same session.
Do I need a Tally multi-user licence?+
Yes. Tally Prime Gold (multi-user) is required for simultaneous users; Windows RDS CALs may also be required for many concurrent RDP users.
